We cannot stop people from coming to the state!! It is just not possible. What we can do is assimilate them into our population. In other words make them Marathi!!!!
Now, the best tool the government has to make these people Marathi is education!!! And, this is where the problem begins. How on earth is a student from ICSE and CBSE schhol in Maharashtra to learn Marathi if he is never taught it properly?
If students know they do not have to give an exam for Marathi then whats the point in studying for Marathi?
Let us also understand that Hindi should not be taught to children in schools because constitutionally Hindi and Marathi have an equal status, and Marathi being language of Maharashtra gains precedence.
I believe the need of the of the hour is to change the education system of the state and to make it more suitable to the state!!!
Yes, we should have greater autonomy for Maharashtra. And not only for Maharashtra but for every state!! Maharashtra is a sub-national entity within India. And Maharashtra could very well be a country on its own if it chooses to.!!!
A union, is exactly just that, a union. Not a forced partnership where one partner is forced to give a whole arm whereas the other partner only gives a finger, all in the name of integration.
Urgent - Need to get out of the three language formula, and implement a two language formula! English ( job la mahatvachi!!) ani Marathi (aapli bhasha!!) Hindi nako!!
STRANGE GUY?? he is even sayin hindi is not our national languages but we have many national languages..........morever last answerhe insists on speaking in marathi even others person don reply in marathi but appears to be a marathi.. wat is this man... i GUESS there is a serious problem vid MARATHIS .. god help them....
@satyajit: i agree with most of your points.. but i differ in some aspects.. 3 language formula is good. but i believe, Hindi should be taught just elementary. so that a child can understand and respond in hindi. nothing more.and no matter what we say, language plays a major role in unity of our country as well. so every person of our country must learn hindi, just for communication's sake. Hindi as compulsary language just for 5th and 6th class would help i guess. @baljeet: no.. hindi is not our national language"s" as you mentioned.(who puts plurar form to the singular subject..strange guy??) but yes. all the languages are national languages. your guess is right.. there is some problem with us (which i have elaborated) and needs to be corrected! NO, God wont help us. We shall help ourselves.
I am sorry I cannot agree with most of you. I believe there should be only one language. All citizens must speak and write in that language. Otherwise the country will become a pot pourri.... Yes, it has already become... Lawije
